Maryborough Airport - (YMYB)
Fly-In Pilot Information
Fraser Coast Wings and Wheels is held at Maryborough Airport (YMYB) 253048S 1524254E (ELEV 38). The airport is situated in class G airspace with a dedicated frequency of 126.55 (shared with Hervey Bay) and designated ground frequency of 132.00 on the day
The airport is facilitated by a single sealed runway 17/35 and a single grass cross runway (unserviceable for the Saturday of the airshow) 12/30. All circuit directions are standard to the LEFT.
For respect to the residents of Maryborough, it is recommended to reduce unnecessary tracking over the township (to the west of the airfield) unless operationally required. Left turns after departing RWY 35 should be no lower than 500’ AGL
Fuel
World fuel is generously bringing 17,000l of AVGAS to Maryborough Aerodrome from Brisbane the morning of Wings and Wheels. They expect to arrive by about 10am. They will prioritise display and adventure flight aircraft refueling, then visiting aircraft. Visiting aircraft can refuel after 12:30pm when the air display is finished. Please do not queue across the taxiway of display aircraft movement paths (map below).

AIRCRAFT MOVEMENT RESTRICTIONS
Aircraft will not be able to arrive or depart between these times due to air displays:
0130Z – 0230z
0330z – 0400z
VISUAL ARRIVAL
Due to the expected arriving aircraft congestion on the morning, pilots are recommended to prefer a visual arrival. Alternatively, if operationally needed, the instrument arrival at Hervey Bay is only 14nm north east, and can help facilitate a Maryborough arrival once visual. Refer to current ERSA for AD references

INBOUND – Follow the Mary River inbound from the east at 2000′
OUTBOUND – Depart to the east not above 1000′ until past river bend (~3nm)

YMYB has RNPs available should they be required for your operations. Please refer to the latest DAPs for procedures. Due to the location and expected traffic, appropriate radio calls are requested as well to assist VFR aircraft operating into the Aerodrome.

The RNP 17 YMYB and RNP 11 YHBA are close in proximity. RPT traffic operating in YHBA may be in the area. Due care is to be taken should an IAP be used simultaneously to any incoming RPT for YHBA.
AFTER LANDING

RWY 35 in use- Visiting aircraft are advised to expedite your exit at grass cross runway 12/30 intersection or CHARLIE if full length is needed. TWY ALPHA is for display aircraft. FOLLOW taxiway CHARLIE to parking area.
RWY 17 in use – Visiting aircraft are advised to expedite exit at cross runway 12/30 intersection or BRAVO if full length is needed. FOLLOW taxiway CHARLIE to parking area. TWY ALPHA is for display aircraft.
AIRCRAFT PARKING
Visiting GA/RA Pilots are requested to be on the ground and parked by 0100z.
GA/RA Parking on the grass area on the WESTERN fence perimeter of TWY CHARLIE (north of the aero club).
VISITING WARBIRD parking on the grassed area across from the Aeroclub (indicated in ERSA “GA APRN (grass)”)
GA APRN (Sealed) unavailable for visiting aircraft as this is for DISPLAY aircraft use.
AFTER PARKING
Please secure your aircraft when possible and proceed to exit the grass parking when able. Avoid congregating around the aircraft to avoid affecting arriving aircraft.
If the need to access your aircraft or an earlier departure is required during the event contact GND COORDINATOR on 132.00

The PIC is expected to be responsible for their passengers and escort them to and from the aircraft.
EVENT ENTRANCE
Entrance to the event is by temporary gate just north of the Maryborough Aero Club. All guests will need an entry ticket (12 and under free). Pre-purchased fly-in pilots will receive a free souvenir at the entrance gate.
NOTES
The general public will not be allowed to walk among visiting aircraft.
Arriving aircraft will NOT be subject to a landing fee, however all occupants will be required to purchase a ticket.
ASIC are NOT MANDATORY at YMYB
Camping is not available on an Fraser Coast Council controlled land (this means the entire event venue, land and airside)
